Transcription in your pocket. Two taps connect you to a professional transcriber, and what is said around you appears on your screen as text.
eScribeDroid is an effective and readily available online tool for simultaneous speech-to-text transcription. Through the app you connect to a professional transcriber, who hears — through the microphone of your phone or tablet — the person you are talking to, and writes down what they say straight away.
Throughout the conversation you follow a verbatim transcript in real time on your own screen. You can hold an ordinary conversation, which makes you an equal and respected partner in it.
What the app gives you
A human transcriber
On working days from 9:00 to 18:00 (CET) a professional transcriber takes your call and writes verbatim, at over 500 keystrokes per minute.
Automatic recognition
Automatic speech recognition is free and unlimited, and works outside transcriber hours as well.
Your transcripts, saved
Every session is archived, so you can read back what was said at the appointment or the meeting afterwards.
Private by design
No third party can join a transcription session. Only you and the transcriber assigned to your call are in it.
Wherever you are
All you need is mobile data or Wi-Fi — at the doctor's, at a public office, in a shop or when dealing with a tradesperson.
How to start
- Install eScribeDroid from Google Play and sign in.
- Press the button to call a transcriber.
- When they pick up, a transcript opens automatically and the sound around your microphone is carried to them.
- Read along on your screen. When you are done, the transcript stays in your archive.
Requirements. Android device with an internet connection. Transcription is provided in Czech, Slovak and Ukrainian. An iOS version is not available.
