For the public sector
Every citizen has the right to deal with a public authority on their own. For hundreds of thousands of people with hearing loss, that means having the conversation in writing.
Looking for a way to communicate effectively with citizens who have different communication needs, and to make sure your services are accessible without unnecessary barriers? Whether you are a large government body or a small municipal office, we can put together the right solution for you.
What we provide
- Complete technical and organisational delivery of online transcription for your phone lines and for communication at the counter.
- Transcription for one-off presentations and events where citizens with hearing loss may be present.
- Professional training in how to communicate correctly and effectively with deaf clients.
- The services of top-tier professional transcribers.
- Help in shaping a communication strategy that takes the specific needs of people with hearing loss into account.
How it works in practice
The most common setup is an accessible information line. Alongside your existing phone number, your website gets a small widget: the citizen enters their number, we call them back, and a transcription window opens at the same time. From that moment they read every word your operator says, and they can type their own questions — those are read out to the operator by a synthetic voice.
For the counter, the same service runs on a tablet. Your staff speak as they normally would; the citizen reads the transcript.
Nothing changes for your operators: they answer an ordinary call. More than 200 information lines and contact points already run this way, from ministries and regional authorities to municipal offices.
Accessibility obligations. Public sector bodies across the EU are bound by accessibility requirements for their websites, mobile applications and services. Live transcription is a practical way of making telephone and in-person contact genuinely usable for people who cannot follow speech.
Who already uses it
Regional authorities, municipal offices, the Czech Labour Office, public health insurance companies, regional public health authorities and the Ministry of Health, among others. We are glad to put you in touch with a reference site.
